By my capacity as President of the Greek National Tourism Organization, I greet this special edition of the grtraveller magazine, issued especially for the emblematic WTM exhibition. In 2023, Greek tourism recorded once again a spectacular course. All official evidence shows that the field will touch and marginally exceed the 2019 revenue.

During the recent years, the Greek National Tourism Organisation has certain strategic

goals. We evolve the Brand Nane GREECE from a mainly SEA&SUN destination to a top

of mind, premium, sanitary safe, multi-island destination with a fascinating mainland that

offers endless authentic experiences in every corner of it, all year round, alongside we

strengthen and update our iconic "sea and sun" product.

In 2023, our strategy has been centered around sustainability.

"SUSTAINABLE GREECE". That’s the name of the new G.N.T.O. microsite that highlights

the best practices and certified sustainable destinations in the country.

At the same time, we make efforts to showcase the country as a ‘’green’’ destination, with

a strong ethical label. So, we address social groups such as people with disabilities. Ιn this

context, more than 250 beaches of the country become accessible to everyone.

In conclusion, I wish every success in the present version of grtraveller

and the iconic WTM.
